Clearbit was the gold standard for B2B data enrichment APIs. In 2023, HubSpot acquired Clearbit and rebranded it as Breeze Intelligence. The standalone product is being sunset — Clearbit is now deeply integrated into HubSpot.
For HubSpot Enterprise users, this is great: free enrichment baked into your CRM. For everyone else, it means Clearbit is no longer an option. If you're not on HubSpot, you need an alternative.
Quick answer: If you want API-based enrichment, go Clay or Apollo. If you need enrichment for your CRM, go Apollo (Salesforce) or Breeze Intelligence (HubSpot). If you want maximum coverage, go Clay.
The Problem
Teams are looking for Clearbit alternatives because of the HubSpot acquisition:
1. No longer standalone. Clearbit's independent product is being phased out. New customers must go through HubSpot. 2. HubSpot lock-in.
